Meet a few of our Keynote Speakers

John Bardburn, Manager of Waste Reduction Efforts at General Motors, will present on zero landfill initiatives and progress.

Dr. Oliver Peoples, Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of R&D at Metabolix, will discuss the global state of bio-based plastics.

Dr. Pat Smith, Research Scientist at Michigan Molecular Institute will showcase the trends in bio-based chemicals.

Dr. Kelvin Okamoto, Chief Technology Officer at Cereplast. Dr. Okamoto will provide an overview of the Federal Trade Commission's Green Guidelines.

Environmental Stewardship Awards 

Join us March 21st for the annual highly coveted Environmental Stewardship Awards Reception and Dinner. The Environmental Stewardship Awards recognizes corporations and other institutions that have demonstrated envronmental leadership and excellence, through significant achievements in categoreis described below:
  • Plastics Recycling Technologies and Applications
  • Emerging Technologies in Materials, Processing and Applications for Better Environmental Impact
  • Design for Sustainability
  • Plastics from Renewable Sources and Innovative Applications
  • Plastics Made from Intermediates Made by Using Biological Routes
  • Daniel Eberhardt Award for Environmental Stewardship
