The Plastics Environmental Division (PED) of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) is seeking nominations for this year’s “Sustainability and Recycling on My Mind” awards. These awards will be presented during the PED’s Global Plastics Environmental Conference (GPEC®) October 17-19, 2011 and will recognize corporations and other institutions (not individuals) that have demonstrated environmental leadership and excellence through significant achievements in the following categories:
- Daniel Eberhardt Environmental Stewardship
- Plastics Recycling Technologies and Applications
- Plastic Materials from Renewable Sources
- New Application Technologies in Plastics from Renewable Materials
- New Environmental Technologies in Processing of Plastics
- Enabling Technologies in Processes and Procedures
- Emerging Technologies in Materials, Processing & Applications for better Environmental Impact
- Design for Sustainability
- Innovations in Environmental & Recycling Areas in Conventional Plastics
- Significant Innovations in Plastics from Renewable Resources
Nomination Deadline: July 15, 2011
Achievements must be commercial or adopted in 2010/2011 to qualify. The nominations must contain detailed information regarding the accomplishments and the reason for the nomination.
